About Whitelabrecs on Substack

Whitelabrecs is an independent record label I founded in 2016, based in Lincolnshire, UK. I’m Harry Towell (also known as Glåsbird), and I started this label as a way to curate experimental Ambient, Modern Classical and Electro-Acoustic music in beautifully hand-crafted editions. Whitelabrecs has grown to include over 150 artists worldwide, with each release telling its own story through both music, artwork and concept.

This Substack is where I will share label news, behind-the-scenes stories, interviews, mixes and reflections on my own journey through Ambient music. It’s a space where I may go a little deeper than the regular release announcements you might see elsewhere, and a space to connect more directly with the community around Whitelabrecs. In 2027 I will launch additional features including a free monthly ‘Tea Break EP’ but for now, I am simply learning what Substack is all about!
